I came across this invitation in the August 1982 edition of Free Wheeling and found it intriguing.
Boho? Bohemian? 1980s-style breakdancing and bacchanalia? Just what were they getting up to, back then?

“HAY” Don’t miss the 4th Annual BOHO BOUNCE.
The members of The Goulburn Valley Four Wheel Drive Club wishes to invite the members & friends of all Four Wheel Drive Clubs to our 4th Annual “Boho Bounce”, to be held on the 22nd, 23rd & 24th of October at the usual place – “Myra Park”, Siem’s Road.
The cost of the B.B.Q tea & Woodshed dance will be $8.00 per adult, with children under 15 free.
For those who wish to participate, we will be running conducted tours & an observation exercise in the forst area, with a motorkhana in the quarry on Sunday morning!
Hoping to see you in October, Keith Hocking.
Turns out, the Boho district is in a farming and forest area south of Violet Town and about 130km north-east of Melbourne. In fact, we’ve all probably driven past it a few times on our travels.
The Goulburn Valley Four Wheel Drive Club (site here) is still very much active, however I had a look on their site and couldn’t find any reference to the Boho Bounce still being a thing.
Which is a shame, because even absent hedonistic hippy pursuits, it sounds like a pretty good time!
